About this experience

Fishing and pickup details

Wahoo, barracuda, mahi-mahi, tuna and bonito are among the fish found in the area. Ask about marlin, swordfish, snapper bottom fishing or fly fishing. Catches are not guaranteed.

Departure is from western Roatán. Pickup from West End and West Bay hotels and resorts is included. Round-trip transportation from cruise ports or other areas costs extra. For cruise guests, the planned return is 90 minutes before the ship's back-on-board time.

What to bring

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and long sleeves. Please do not bring ripe bananas, plastic bottles or plastic bags.

Weather and departure times

We ask for a range of possible dates because trips depend on suitable weather. Island guests can aim to have lines out by 6 a.m.; cruise ship guests are scheduled around their ship’s arrival and departure. We plan to return to port 90 minutes before the ship’s back-on-board time.

Deposits and cancellations

A refundable PayPal deposit is requested after contacting the operator. The operator provides payment details directly. If the charter is canceled because of weather or circumstances beyond the operator’s control, the deposit is fully refunded. Guest cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice receive a full deposit refund; cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice do not.

If tuna is caught, the crew may prepare sashimi. Tell the captain in advance if you want to target marlin, swordfish, snapper or try flats fly fishing.
